How do you get more children to sign up for your martial arts school?

Call extra-curricular groups that cater to the ages you are targeting and see if they are willing to have you come and teach the group a few "basics." I think most kids would be excited to learn some martial arts moves; the rest is just marketing. Once you get them excited, make sure you give each one a flier to give to their parents, which offers information about your school.

Another idea would be to offer a "special" where you give one free lesson to kids (again, hand out promotional materials before they leave the school)... or maybe offer a few sessions as a "trial membership" at a discounted price so kids can come try it out. I think if their children show an interest, most parents would be much more willing to sign their child up.

Good luck.

Buddy up with the PTA at schools in your area.
Reply:Make sure no one accuses you of molesting the children - so leave your hands to yourself.

Otherwise, partner with youth groups, advertise, pretend you know Chuck Norris, etc.
Reply:offer a two week to one month trial program for real cheap then sign them up on a contract when they are loving it.

I used to work for an MA school that charged 100 bucks a month, for 36 months. We offered a one month program that included a free uniform for 29 dollars. around the second or third week, we would sign them up on the 36 month program.
Reply:You may want to put on a demonstration showing the capabilities of the children students you have now. I think parents would be interested in how a child can escaped if grabbed, how a girl can strike the sensitive places on a grown-up trying to get a little fresh or even worse. Then you want to show the fitness, discipline, and respect the students have for each other. Work with the schools in your community, YMCA, clubs, etc. Have some refreshments, and I think you will do fine.
